A Message from Kendall Scudder:
I was brought to Huntsville the same way hundreds of thousands of people have been since 1879, and like so many others, I just flat-out fell in love with her; the history, the culture, and mostly the people. But when I watch the toxic atmosphere that our city's government exists in, I can't help but cringe. Instead of the bickering and excessive distractions that we see infecting our headlines today, we should be embracing the diverse ingenuity of our citizenry, investing in our city's infrastructure, and pushing forward with Huntsville's growth and economic development.
Looking around the city of Huntsville, it's clear to even the most untrained eye that it's bursting with potential. It's time to embrace the aspects of our city that make us unique and help evolve it into the bustling, business-friendly community that so many of us want it to become.
We haven’t seen much from our city council over the last few years except a bunch of in-fighting, financial failures and cronyism. Let’s focus on securing our financial future, embracing transparency in every aspect of our government, and making sure every person in our community has their voice heard. I hope you’ll join me in making the good ‘ol boy system a thing of the past and moving Huntsville into the 21st century.
